Fourth of July Invitations
When you have a party, it is important to send out invitations. There are many different kinds of invitations from which to choose. You may go the high tech way and send evites. Need something for the kids to do why not make your own invitations. If you are short on time then choose premade invitations.
The first consideration, when picking your invitations, is the theme of your party. For the 4th of July many people will be having a BBQ, Picnic, Pool Party or a firework outing. So, what is your theme?

Next, consider your time frame. If you are going to hand out invitations in the neighborhood then you may have time to make your invitations. If it’s a last minute party then consider sending out an evite. If you are having a more formal gathering or inviting a lot of people from around town then consider a premade invitation.
Now you need to determine the kind of guest at the party. Most Fourth of July parties will have a variety guest of all ages. When choosing an invite make sure it’s not too young or geared towards children unless you are having a kids party. On the other hand, if you are having a more formal BBQ don’t send a pool party invitation.
You know your theme, you’ve decided if you will make or buy your invitations and you have considered whom you will be inviting – now it’s time to choose an invitation. One of the most important things when sending an invitation is to give your guest a clue as to what type of party you are having.
The invite should have images or working that help the guest determine what type of party they will be attending. Also, if you are having a party where a certain type of clothing should be worn make sure your invitations includes something like “bring your suit”, “hats, sunscreen and mitt” – if you are going to a baseball game. The style of invitation should also provide the guest an idea of if the party will be more relaxed or formal.
What should your invitation include? The date, since this if for the fourth of July it will probably be on the invitation but if not make sure you include the date. If the 4th is on a weekday and you are having a weekend pool party make sure to include the actually date. Tell your guest: July 4th celebration will be Saturday July 1st if you are having the party any other day than the fourth of July.
Next, include a time. If it is a pool party you may tell them they can stop in from 11 am until… and food will be server around 4 p.m. Going out for a night of fireworks make sure you tell your guest to arrive in plenty of time to arrive at your destination, but no so early you have to entertain them as you are trying to prepare for the party.
Always include the physical address of the party. Nothing worse than having people show up at your home when your party is at the neighborhood pool or local park. If guest need to bring items tell them especially if it is going to be food. Many people will need to either prepare an item or have a plan to stop and pick up something on their way over.
A final consideration is to determine if you intend for the party to only include adults, children, or families. If you are having an adult party make sure include that information on the invite.
Don’t forget to decorate your home or party area in a way that matches the theme of your party. You can find out more information on what type of party to consider throwing or decor on Fourth of July decorations.
