What better way to celebrate July 4th than to decorate your home. This quick and simple flower arrangement is a perfect choice for bring in nature but showing off your patriotism.

What you will need are wood carton cases. These crates you would have found in the past hold sodas. You will need a liner for the crate, green floral foam, and red, white, and blue carnations.

Take the four crates and line with the plastic liner. A heavy-duty garbage bag will work. Place your flora foam into the water so that it can absorb the water and provide hydration for your carnations.

While you are waiting on the floral foam to absorb the water you will probably need to dye the blue carnations. Blue carnations can be ordered from your florist in advance, but if you want, it is easy to color them yourself. The easiest way is to put blue food coloring in a container of water, cut a fresh cut on white carnations, and place them in the colored water. After about an hour, you will have blue carnations.

Now you are ready to create your flag. Remember that all four containers will be used to create the flag, so when you are thinking about where to put this in your home make sure you have an area which can hold the weight of the containers, water, and flowers.

Now, cut the blue flowers and place them in the top left container. Fill the whole container and pack the blue flowers in tightly. Next, create your rows of red and white.

Finally, create the stars. Plain white cards, cut out stars, use blue floral pins and poke them into the blue carnations. This is a spectacular look, and your guest will love the look.
